I'm baaack! Its been a bit since I've posted. I've been working on a few different things and so the blog had to wait a bit, but.. We're back!
Now..if you're like me you watch the Superbowl mainly for the music extravaganza that takes place mid game. This year's performers were Coldplay, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars.. arguably three of the greatest performers of our time. Each artist individually is known for rocking stadiums out.. so together we knew it was going to be a show stopper!
Coldplay opened the show with a colorful set up, and a few of the songs we all know and love. They performed "Viva La Vida", "Paradise", & "Adventure of a Lifetime".
Cameras then moved on to Bruno's set where he and his fellas killed "Uptown Funk"! Just as they finished.. focus shifted to KING BEY! Performing her new single "Formation"! She rocked it out as only Bey could. It's a song about the celebration of black people and black culture..so it was only right that she used black women dressed in Black Panther-esque costume during her performance. I loved it.
Her segment was followed by a brief battle between her and Bruno's crews. It was really cute. Bey also almost took a tumble somewhere in there.. but when you're Beyonce your recovery is always so smooth folks have to wonder if it even happened.
The performers ended the night with, a mesh of "Clocks", "Fix You", Prince's "Purple Rain", and U2's "Beautiful Day" as a video tribute to past performers went live in the stadium. It was honestly really pretty to watch and great to listen to.
In true Beyonce fashion.. she owned the following commercial break with the announcement of her new tour The 2016 Formation World Tour!! This whole week has truly been Beyonce' Beyonceing. Get into the halftime show below..and get your Formation tickets!!
