Congratulations are definitely in order for one of the greatest songwriters to ever live!!! Kenneth Babyface Edmonds' legacy will now live on in stone as he just received his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Babyface was surrounded by close friends and family as he received the honor.
His contribution to music is almost unparalleled. If you ever stop to consider how many hits he's created for so many artists, you will be blown away. So many insane lyrics and melodies have come from this man. He deserves this honor!
When asked about his friend, L.A. Reid chuckled and said:
I just feel like what Kenny has done musically, and what he's done as an inspiration to people as a role model has really advanced the culture. And a lot of babies were made
It's SO true! Usher, Diddy, Stevie Wonder, and Toni Braxton were also in attendance to celebrate Babyface -who is known to be a little shy. All he could say was the honor was a bit surreal, but even he'd have to admit that it is well deserved!
Babyface is currently set to release a very personal duets album with long time friend and collaborator Toni Braxton titled, Love, Marriage, and Divorce, out November 25th!
