Mariah Carey is one of the greatest selling artists in music history. Her credits are endless as a performer, vocalist, and even songwriter. So, it was no surprise this year that BMI decided to honor the fairly new mom and wife of Nick Cannon for her contributions!
Mariah received the Icon award which is MAJOR! To help pay tribute to her BMI gathered some of the best singers around to serenade the living legend with some familiar tunes. Its funny that when people think of Mariah Carey, they first think of singer, but don't be deceived, she's had a hand in writing many of your favorite jams by her. Among Mariah other BMI artists, writers, and producers received awards.
