So, it's not news to you BabyKayKs that I took Whitney's passing rather hard. She was a huge inspiration to me and still is through her incredible gift. When I heard that there was a chance that Whitney would be honored by Brandy, Monica, and Mama Houston at the BET Awards I almost couldn't believe it!
In what I can honestly say was the BEST Whitney tribute thus far; Monica, Brandy, Ms. Chaka, Whitney's brother, and Mother Cissy Houston sang beautifully in honor of the late great Whitney Houston. There was not a dry eye in the room. Cameras showed everybody from Soulja Boy to Beyonce shedding a tear as everyone stood on their feet in rememberance of the gift that was Whitney.
The grace that each of them exemplified while honoring Whitney was simply amazing. I was soooooo proud of Brandy as a fan mostly. I go hard for her becuase she sincerely is one of the BEST voices of all time and last night she got to show that at the BET awards and do so honoring one of her biggest inspirations!
The one person noticeably absent was Bobbi Kristina, we hope that she is ok and coping with her loss. Other than that, this tribute was everything!! I just loved it.. check it out below!
