Chaka Khan & celebs put together tribute for #TrayvonMartin

Chaka Khan has been so inspired by the life of Trayvon Martin that she gathered musicians and actors in a studio to put on hoodies and record a remake of her 2007 song, “Super Life,” in his memory.

Eric Benet, Kelly Price, Kenny Lattimore, Angela Bassett, Terry Crews and Boris Kodjoe are among the stars who throw back their hoods to introduce themselves in the video that went up on YouTube Monday. Chaka said on her website that dozens of people came to the Henson Studios in Hollywood to participate.
“The death of Trayvon Martin was a shot heard around the world. Celebrities are privileged beyond belief to have a public following,” she said. “We have explored and exploited media to our own benefits. Now it’s time to exploit media for the benefit of humanity as a whole. As purveyors of content and media, we need to use our videos to stop injustice at the site of its origin.”
