Rihanna Says "White" People especially expect her to be a role model?

Rihanna is probably known as one of the more risque artists of our time. Rihanna recently told Vogue Magazine UK, that this is not who she is, but a part she plays.

In the November issue of Vogue UK the magazine also quotes her as saying some other things that may be borderline racist. When asked about her image the magazine quotes her as saying..

"People – especially white people..they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead.
The things I say in my songs they expect it of me and it became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music...That’s it."

Well obviously this would rub some people the wrong way & it did. A fan of Rihanna's tweeted her and asked if she actually said that or if she was misquoted. Rihanna responded ..
"What u mean??? I didn't read it yet! What did it say? I don't classify people by race! That doesn't even make sense...WEIRD!!!"
I dont know. It doesnt sound like something she'd say for many reasons..hmm. Either way parents these days are trying to find anyone else to be their kids' role models- that is a scary reality.
