After her first charitable trip to Haiti in February, Miley Cyrus wanted to make an even bigger impact the second time around. The 18-year-old former Hannah Montana star returned with Starkey Hearing Foundation to distribute more than 400 hearing aids to needy Haitians.
The Haitian people, still reeling from the massive earthquake that hit over a year ago, were overjoyed to see Cyrus, who hung out with the kids and helped fit hearing aids. Cyrus tweeted about the little boy she embraces in the photo, "...I've never seen a smile like his! I can't wait to go back."
"I felt so drawn to helping others hear for the first time and immediately wanted to look for another chance to go back and help again," Cyrus said in a statement. "This second mission to Haiti was just as impactful to me as the first one. I grew up around music and couldn't imagine what it would be like for my siblings and me, if we couldn't hear the magic of music. It's had such an influence on my life, and I just want everyone to enjoy sound as it was intended."
Kudos to Miley and other celebrities, as well as countless charities for giving to the country of Haiti.
