Usually when I log on to my email, I dont read the headline stories- just out of habit, and I guess I tell myself I go there to read my email...but today a story caught my eye and Im glad I went on to read it. Surfer Jodie Nelson set out to be the first woman to stand up paddle 40 miles from Santa Catalina Island to Dana Point in an effort to raise awareness of breast cancer. On a personal note both her mother and sister are survivors and she took the challenge not only to celebrate them but to encourage a friend who is currently battling cancer. I thought the act alone beautiful, but to find out that a Minke Whale that is not known to hang around humans too long swam around and beside her for nearly 2 hrs. of her 9 hr. trek was just amazing to me. It seems as though everybody was amazed except Jodie..here's her perspective-beautiful-
To me it was a total God thing. We prayed at 4 that morning that God would reveal his beauty and creation and nature, and allow me to endure this long trek, so for me it's not such a huge surprise that this happened.
I love it love it love it!!!! God works like that! Heres another picture below..hope this made you smile as I did reading it! For more info on how you can be a part of bringing awareness/funds to the pink movement (breast cancer awareness) click the below image!TNT BabyKayKs
